The Gemini Moon and the Assumption: When do we have enough information to Decide?

Abstraction IX by Georgia O'Keefe, Metropolitan Museum of Art

Today the moon entered the sign of Gemini. Gemini at its highest represents curiosity and movement: a willingness to take in new information without judgment, to remain open to fascination, to relay the message to others. Today we can find comfort in that space.

It’s also the Feast of the Assumption of Mary.

In the Gospel of Luke, Mary, still a child herself, is visited by an angel and told she will conceive and give birth to the son of God. Mary’s startled. She asks questions. This news makes no sense. She’s never even been with a man. The angel explains that this will be a miracle of the Holy Spirit: “For nothing will be impossible with God.” And so Mary says Yes. She doesn’t ask for a week to think about it. She doesn’t consult her family or her five best friends. She’s about to be a misunderstood pariah, but she humbly agrees to the role. She has the information she needs. She's gonna take this on now with faith. (Oh, Mary. How the heck did you do it???)

Do you have enough information to willingly welcome the unknown? Do you need to find out more? Or can you move forward now in faith? Look and listen for a helpful message you can spread or a greater role you can step into, even if it seems lonely, scary, or impossible right now.
