Tonight Venus, the planet that symbolizes love, beauty, peace and connection, enters Gemini, where it will stay until July 31st.
Famous people who were born with Venus in Gemini include Bob Dylan, Giorgio Armani, Coretta Scott King, Malcolm X, John F. Kennedy and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Frida Kahlo, Cher, Venus Williams, John Glenn, and Amelia Earhart.
What does that mean? Until July 31st, how we connect with others, create art or beauty, and find peace will be driven by an exchange of ideas and information, and a willingness to be shocked and amazed.
In other words, we’ll have to get out there more. (Note the first American to orbit the earth and the first female pilot to fly solo across the Atlantic.) We’ll have to be open to something new.
I’m thinking of Cher, and how easy it would have been for her to stay as Sonny’s Other Half. Venus in Gemini gives us that option: Our relationships can be what people see or hear. But Cher clearly has a message of her own. She became her own person and her own artist. I don’t know if she’s happier, but she’s able to connect with her fans on a deeper level now. The people who love Cher really love Cher.
Gemini represents the twins: the dual nature and flexibility. For the next month, try to stay flexible and curious in your interactions. Don’t just play or accept a role, either in your relationships or your art. Try to see more in other people, too. And if something amazes you, share it. It could bring others comfort and peace. Likely it will bring you peace.
