A Joan of Arc Moon: The Cancer Sun with an Aries Moon

The moon is in Aries today. This is the energy of war or heroism. Some of us are dealing with legitimate crises. But we might also sense or create crisis today because we feel stirred to act. Aries symbolizes fight or flight.

How do we face the day? Do we even want to?

If you are in crisis or in a really terrifying place today, I’m sorry. Please honor your feelings. Please give yourself all the love and encouragement you can. Please let someone you trust help you if you need help. This is uncharted territory. It’s OK to be scared.

And if you’re not in crisis today, take a moment to go within yourself and feel some of your victories. You might find yourself in a position to help others. Try to pay attention so you can offer the right help. Maybe courage for you today is not helping, or not helping in your usual ways. That can also be a brave and ultimately kind act, if you sense others need to push forward themselves.

With the sun in Cancer and the moon in the Disseminating or Waning Gibbous phase, this is not your standard Aries moon. There’s a depth and a call to inner work. Our need to act is fused with our need to heal and be healed, to love and be loved.

Spend some time alone and within yourself today, so your actions can be rooted in power and love.
